Clare Bebbington

Clare Bebbington has over 25 years of experience in the global oil, gas and renewables sectors, with both client and contracting companies. She is Managing Director of Audire Consultants and champions the integration of non-technical risk, brand and reputation management with commercial and technical imperatives. She led the management of non-technical risk for BP’s investments in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey during critical construction and start-up phases of the projects. She was part of the leadership team for BP’s return to Iraq in 2009. Her work there was judged to be ‘of lasting significance in the region’ by the US State Department in Basra. She has also held senior corporate roles, including the establishment of the external affairs and communications function for oilfield services company Petrofac. Clare is an award-winning journalist and a graduate of Oxford University. She is Director of the John Smith Trust and a Trustee of The Friends of the Basrah Museum.
